As Genesis Equipment continues to grow and evolve, we thought it might be a great time to put some faces behind the names, and introduce you to our team.
We believe in our team and the diverse range of individual talents that each person contributes to Genesis Equipment. We are all interconnected links in one very robust and flexible chain – a chain that turns the cogs to bring you the best automotive and heavy vehicle products, advice and back up service Australia has to offer.
Today we would like to introduce to you our National Sales and Marketing Manager, Stephen Clifford. Stephen has been with the company for almost 4 years and is a source of motivation and inspiration to all of us here at Genesis.
We asked Stephen a few quick and quirky questions so you can get to know the man who drives us (pun intended!).
What is your favourite thing about being part of the Genesis Equipment team?
My favourite thing about being a part of the Genesis Equipment team is the dynamic and the culture of the team. Everyone’s values align exceptionally well which helps with the day-to-day operations. We all encourage each other to push and achieve that little bit more, while ensuring the end goal of satisfied customers.
How does a typical day in the office begin for you?
My typical day always starts with a coffee. That’s a non-negotiable. From there, I catch up with the team to make sure everyone is starting the day in a positive headspace with a daily plan.
When it comes to your role, what is your biggest pet peeve?
Currently it is Covid making travel more difficult. I can’t wait to be able to get on a plane and visit our interstate partners.
Do you have a favourite quote and if so, what is it?
Yes, I do. It is: “ If it is to be, it’s up to me.”
What book are you reading now?
Business Statistics: Australia and New Zealand
What makes you smile?
During work, seeing my team overcome challenges or achieve their goals. At home, getting to spend time with my kids and listen to their days.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Green Day, 2005
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A computer game designer.
What is the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
Grasshoppers in Thailand!
What is your most used emoji?
♂️♂️. I often forget to do things for my wife, and this is my standard response.
