The Ranger R745 is a straightforward swing-arm tyre changer for everyday passenger, commuter, spare and trailer tyres. It clamps wheels from 12 to 20 inches on the inside jaws and handles tyres up to 991 mm (39 inches) in diameter, which covers the bulk of standard wheel work.
A rigid tower, hardened-steel outrigger arm and swing-arm layout keep the mount and demount head steady and make loading quick. The electric turntable is reversible, and the adjustable pneumatic bead breaker blade is fitted with a rubber bump stop.
It suits service stations, roadside operators, small repair workshops and home garages, and works well as a second machine in a busy tyre bay. It is not designed for heavy run-flat or low-profile work; for those tyres, look at an assist-tower model in the Ranger range.
