Not every wheel centres accurately off its hub bore. Custom, aftermarket, specialty and lug-centric wheels can sit slightly off on a standard cone, which shows up as readings that won’t settle and balance jobs that have to be redone. The Ranger Universal Lug-Centric Pressure Plate Kit fits compatible wheel balancers with a 40 mm shaft. It centres the wheel from its lug holes instead, so the wheel is mounted much the way it sits on the vehicle.

Mounting the same way every time cuts down variation between jobs, so balance readings are cleaner and easier to repeat, and there is less chasing of problems that were never in the wheel. A caliper is included to help with setup and measurement.
